Meet Jen Guernsey MS, CPNP-PC
Ever since she was a young girl, Jen knew she wanted to help kids – she was drawn to nursing because of the core values of relationship-centered care and treating the whole person: body, mind and spirit. This was something she brought to work with her everyday – as a bedside nurse at Children’s Hospital and as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
As both a mom and primary care provider, she has experienced the current limitations that exist in our pediatric healthcare system: time constraints/hurried visits, Whack-a-mole approach to treat symptoms only – without exploring root causes; and lack of reimbursement for nutrition/lifestyle/wellness counseling.
Jen decided she wanted to treat children just as she would her own— Empowering the child to be involved in their own health- while combining the best of conventional and more natural complimentary approaches tailored to each individual client. This was where Flourish Kids Integrative Health was born!
Jen and her husband, Josh love raising their three boys in their hometown of Fort Collins, CO. Some of Jen’s favorite things include: family time in Steamboat, CO, cheering on her boys in their favorite sports, her yellow lab Maisie, tennis, trying new recipes, coffee with a friend, gardening, music, and will never turn down dance party!
